The National Aged Care Advocacy Program

The National Aged Care Advocacy Program (NACAP) is a free and confidential service promoting the rights of people receiving aged care services and is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing.

The aim of the program is:

  • to provide you with information and advice about your rights and responsibilities
  • support you to be involved in decisions affecting your life
  • assist you to resolve problems or complaints in relation to aged
    care facilities
  • promote the rights of older people to the wider community.

TARS is part of this National Advocacy Network and operates in N.S.W. only. If you live elsewhere and would like to contact agencies in other states or territories please see below for information on the National

NATIONAL ADVOCACY NETWORK

There are organisations like TARS in each state of Australia. Collectively we are known as the National Advocacy Network.

Each one functions independently, and may work with different clients. The following list has the main contact for each state, as some states have regional offices.
