Standard Contracts Project 2011

The NSW Minister of Fair Trading has initiated a project to consider the standardisation of NSW retirement village contracts. TARS has been appointed to the Expert Committee working on this project.  The NSW Office of Fair Trading will undertake a public consultation once the expert committee has reported back to the Minister later this year.  Please contact TARS if you have any ideas about what you think should be in the standard contract.

Education Seminars

Our Solicitors are continuing to visit retirement villages to present a one hour seminar on your rights and obligations as residents.  We also provide brochures and we can answer general questions at the end of the seminar. 

Please contact us if you think your village could benefit from a seminar.  If you do not have a residents' committee that organises talks then the seminar may be particularly useful for you as a group.
